I had a philosophy 30 years ago. That is, if you never give up you will come out a winner. I talked about Abe Lincoln in our banquets and the example he set for persistence. How many of us could have failed 26 times and still kept trying?

The Time We Have Together Is So Short
My Darling, the time we have together is so short.
May we have the love and understanding
Necessary to live every second, every breath,
Every heartbeat.
The world around us will always create the stress and
Strain so common to its nature.
May we have the insight needed to realize this
And cope with the frustrations.
From life we have created life.
May we have the foresight to develop it.
My darling, may we meet again at the end of the ride,
For the time we have together is so short.
